The present drawing is a preparatory study for the fresco by Giuseppe Nicola Nasini in Palazzo Del Chiaro in Florence, painted between 1692 and 1695 on the commission of Leon Battista Del Chiaro. The figure is present in the section “Mondo” of the fresco, surrounded by Putti. The present drawing is also a preparatory study for the “Seated Pan” located in the center of the drawing “Ceiling Project with Apollo and the Muses” by Giuseppe Nicola Nasini located in the Ècole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris (inv.no.Mas 2775).
